Earning guide: how this website makes money

The full roadmap — what to switch on, in what order, and what each stage realistically pays. Includes AdSense approval requirements, Search Console and Analytics setup, affiliate marketing and newsletter growth.

8 revenue stages AdSense checklist GSC + GA4 setup

1. What this page is

A website does not earn money by existing. It earns when it has content people search for, a way to keep them, and a product or an advertiser willing to pay for that attention. This page sets out exactly how to turn mktechsoft.net into income, in the order that actually works — and what each step realistically pays.

Read this first: nothing on this page is a promise of income. Timelines below are typical ranges, not guarantees. Most new sites earn nothing at all for the first three to six months. Treat every number as a planning assumption.

2. The earning roadmap

Do these in order. Each one makes the next one easier, and each one is worth more than the last.

StageWhat you doTime to first paymentRealistic monthly range
1. Foundation Publish 20–30 useful articles, connect Analytics and Search Console, get indexed. — (cost stage) Nothing yet
2. Direct services Sell repairs, upgrades and IT support to visitors. This is the fastest income and needs no approval from anyone. Days to weeks The largest early figure — driven by how much work you take
3. Courses Sell the six IT courses to readers who want to learn a skill rather than buy a repair. Weeks A few enrolments per month at course pricing
4. Digital products Sell licensed software, templates and tools with automated delivery. Weeks Low per sale, but it scales without your time
5. Affiliate links Recommend parts, hosting and software in your guides. Commission on each sale. 1–2 months Small at first, grows with traffic
6. Display ads (AdSense) Turn on the ad slots once approved. Pays per impression and click. 2–8 weeks for approval Low at first — needs real traffic to be meaningful
7. Sponsored posts Brands pay for a labelled article or banner placement. 3–6 months Depends entirely on your traffic — see rates
8. Newsletter Build an email list, then promote your own services and products to it directly. Ongoing Multiplies everything above it
The single most important insight: your services and courses will out-earn ads for a long time. Ad income needs serious traffic before it is worth anything, whereas one laptop repair sold through the site can beat a month of ad revenue. Run the ads, but never let them replace the direct offer.

3. Google AdSense approval — step by step

AdSense rejects thin, unfinished or policy-breaking sites. Everything below is already in place on this site — this section explains why each requirement exists, so you can keep it that way.

3.1 What AdSense requires

  • Substantial original content. This site publishes 14 in-depth guides, roughly 16,000 words. That satisfies the usual "enough content" bar. Keep adding.
  • A working site on its own domain. Default Cloudflare Pages preview addresses are usually rejected. Use www.mktechsoft.net.
  • Clear navigation. Every page is reachable from the header and footer.
  • Policy pages. AdSense expects Privacy Policy, Terms, Disclaimer and a Refund Policy. All four are published.
  • Contact information. A real contact page with a phone number and email.
  • No prohibited content. No adult material, no piracy, no misleading claims, no gambling.
  • Working pages only. Broken links and empty sections get applications rejected.
  • Sufficient age. Some applications are refused for a site that is only a few days old. If you are rejected early, fix any issue and reapply after a few weeks of publishing.

3.2 How to apply

  1. Go to Google AdSense and sign in with the Google account you want to be paid through.
  2. Enter your site URL: https://www.mktechsoft.net.
  3. Choose your country and accept the terms.
  4. Set up your payment profile — this is where your bank details go. Complete it fully; an incomplete profile delays payment even after approval.
  5. AdSense gives you a verification snippet. Paste it into the site head (or use the admin panel → SEO Settings to generate it).
  6. Request review. Approval usually takes a few days, sometimes up to two weeks.

3.3 After approval — turning the slots on

  1. In AdSense, create four ad units and note each slot ID.
  2. Open the admin panelAd Slots.
  3. Enter your publisher ID and the four slot IDs, then toggle Ads enabled on.
  4. Replace ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and the 0000000000 slot values in the page HTML with your real values.
Important: never click your own ads and never ask anyone to. That is the fastest way to lose an AdSense account permanently.

4. Connect Google Search Console & Analytics

4.1 Search Console

  1. Go to Google Search Console and add a property of type URL prefix with https://www.mktechsoft.net.
  2. Choose the HTML tag verification method and copy the content value from the meta tag it shows you.
  3. Paste that value into the admin panelSEO Settings → Search Console verification, then copy the generated snippet into each page head.
  4. Click Verify. Then submit your sitemap: https://www.mktechsoft.net/sitemap.xml.
  5. Check Pages after a few days. Anything reported as "Crawled – not indexed" usually needs more content or internal links.

4.2 Google Analytics 4

  1. In Google Analytics, create an account and a Web data stream for https://www.mktechsoft.net.
  2. Copy the Measurement ID (it starts with G-).
  3. Paste it into the admin panel → SEO Settings and add the generated snippet to every page, or edit the placeholder block already present in the page head.
  4. Visit the site, then check Analytics → Realtime. Your own visit should appear within a minute.
  5. Mark your own IP as internal traffic so your testing does not distort the numbers.

Where the placeholders are: every page head already contains a commented block with G-XXXXXXXXXX, GTM-XXXXXXX and a google-site-verification meta. Replace those values and the tags start working — no other change is needed.

5. Affiliate marketing setup

Affiliate income is the simplest to switch on: you link to a product you would recommend anyway, and you earn a commission if a reader buys it. The site already includes labelled affiliate slots on the guides, the products page and the laptops page.

5.1 How to set it up

  1. Join the affiliate programme for the products you already recommend — local marketplaces, hosting companies, software vendors.
  2. Get your tracking link from the programme dashboard.
  3. Open the affiliate slot in the page HTML and replace the href with your tracking link. Keep rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" — it is required and it is already there.
  4. Keep the disclosure line visible. Hiding affiliate relationships breaks both advertising rules and reader trust.

5.2 What actually converts

  • Specific beats generic. "An SSD for a 2019 laptop with a SATA bay" converts far better than "buy an SSD".
  • Recommend the cheap option first. Readers trust a PKR 6,000 fix recommended before a PKR 90,000 machine.
  • Link where the decision happens — inside the guide, right after you explain the problem.
  • Never recommend something you would not fit yourself. One bad recommendation costs more than the commission.

6. Build the email list

A newsletter is the only audience you actually own — social platforms can change their rules overnight, but nobody can take your email list away. The newsletter signup is now in the footer of every page.

  1. Create a free account with an email provider (Brevo and Mailchimp both have free tiers).
  2. Create a list and copy its signup form action URL.
  3. In the footer form, change the action so submissions post to your provider as well as to /api/submit, or keep our form and export the addresses weekly.
  4. Send one email a month. One genuinely useful guide, one offer, nothing else.
  5. Never buy an email list, and always include a working unsubscribe link.

7. Launch checklist

  • Sitemap submitted to Search Console
  • Analytics receiving data
  • All four policy pages published and linked in the footer
  • Real WhatsApp number and email on every page
  • Admin password changed from the default
  • At least 20 published articles
  • AdSense application submitted (or approved and slots filled in)
  • Affiliate links replaced with your real tracking links
  • Newsletter connected to your email provider
  • Prices and address on the site updated to real values
